The recent past gives us two legacies. The first one is the contemporary city, with its privileges but also with its urban form and social problems. A city that, expanding horizontally, has lost all relationship with the essential character of the historic center. A city that has attacked the landscape, profoundly altering the perfect balance between nature and artifice.
